agriportance specialises in sustainability certification, balancing group management and the marketing of biomethane and LCO₂ in Germany and Europe. With around 35 international colleagues, we support producers and buyers from REDcert and ISCC certification through to GHG balances and the finalisation of deals – combining market expertise with our own software.

Your mission
Your profile
Origination and new client acquisition
- You will independently build up your client portfolio – ranging from biomethane producers, suppliers, local authority utilities and gas traders to the petroleum sector and industry
- You will manage our existing clients and further expand long-term supply and off-take relationships
- You will broker and structure spot and forward transactions for biomethane, LCO₂ and greenhouse gas allowances – from preparing price quotations through to contracts ready for signing
- You will negotiate volumes, prices and sustainability requirements in close collaboration with our colleagues from the certification and balance group management departments
- You will monitor prices, market developments and regulatory changes (including RED III and greenhouse gas quotas) and translate these into concrete opportunities for your clients
- Representing our brand in the German biomethane market
- Building long-term partnerships for a sustainable energy supply
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience – Several years’ professional experience (ideally 3+ years) in brokerage, origination, trading, sales or business development within the gas, energy or biofuel sector
- Network & Track Record – A proven track record of successfully concluding supply or trading contracts and a robust network within the German energy market
- Market understanding – In-depth understanding of gas markets, certificates or proofs of sustainability
- Negotiation skills & initiative – You proactively approach clients, negotiate with confidence and enjoy working independently
- Languages – Native-level German and business-fluent English
